You may have several questions running through your mind right now. That is totally normal - all clients do! Fear of the unknown is inevitable. When making an investment in yourself with an experience that is fully customizable, it's best to find out all the details. EPICS is here to answer all those questions and more. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions that will help guide you through the process from start to finish stress-free! I put a lot of love and passion into what I do, and I make myself available to offer guidance and support to you from the time of booking, through to the delivery of your photo products. What is a boudoir photoshoot and is it for someone like me?

EPICS offers a professional photo shoot experience that is empowering, sexy, and focused on highlighting your inner and outer beauty. Boudoir is for ALL women of all shapes, sizes, ages, and skin colors. Got lumps, bumps, stretch marks, belly fat, wrinkles, etc.? Great! That means your human. I do too! And you know what…none of those “flaws” or any others are reason enough to not allow yourself this experience. Boudoir is about celebrating your unique beauty, as you are, right now! With great light, flattering angles, and posing, as well as attention to detail, any woman can look stunning in photographs.

This is an incredibly liberating process and many women that I have worked with tell me that they view themselves differently as a direct result of doing a session. In short, YES boudoir is perfect for someone like you!

What is the Booking Consultation Call for?

This call is to help us will get to know each other a little better and see what you envision for your session. I will answer any questions you have and go over my process with you. Above all this call is a great way to make sure you feel comfortable with me and fully understand how my process works so you can get the most out of this experience.

When should I schedule if I need my images by a certain date?

ALWAYS allow a timeline of 12-16 weeks from shoot day. The typical timeline is as follows:

After your session, it takes 4-6 weeks to prepare and retouch your image gallery for your Reveal and Ordering Session. We will then meet online or in-person for your Reveal and Ordering Session.

From there, I will place your order. On average, the professional print lab takes 5-6 weeks to process an order. But during busier seasons, it can take up to 7-8 weeks. I always want to expect the best but it is wise to plan for delays just in case. Please give yourself ample time and book in advance!

Can you tell me a little more about the EPICS style of shooting?

Absolutely! I have a slightly different approach than most photographers. My style of shooting is client-centric, meaning that my goal is to actually photograph your session in accordance with your preferred theme and style. This allows me to make sure that you are happy with all of your beautiful portraits from your session!

I can promise you the images will not be light and airy. EPICS prides itself on the deep and bold colors complimented with contrast and vibrancy. And we LOVE to play with shadows to emphasize the sass!

Who will see my photos? Will they be shared online?

Your privacy is of most importance to EPICS. Your images are 100% private and will never be used online or in social media without your expressed consent on a signed release. These are your images, your body, your choice!

The model release has three options:

- Full Release of all images

- Select Release of specific images you're comfortable with sharing.

- Anonymous Release that no one will know it's you in the photo.

If you do decide to sign a model release, your images may be shared on website, social media accounts, and advertisement.

Where do the sessions take place?

Sessions take place in and around Owensboro. I am able to travel to accommodate your session needs. Agreed upon additional fee depends upon mileage to location of shoot. Sessions can be scheduled at Airbnbs, Hotels, Rental Studios, or at a variety of additional locations. I will look at available rentals for your chosen date and pick one that is beautiful and fits our needs for light, quality, and aesthetic.

What is the EPICS Session Retainer Fee?

The Session Retainer Fee is a non-refundable booking retainer that is collected at the time of booking to reserve your session date and to lock in current collection pricing. It is currently $400 and can be split into 2 payments - half due at time of booking to secure your date and the other half due within 2 weeks after booking but can be included with your Pre-Payment Plan if you prefer. If booking a Model Call with a waived or reduced session retainer fee, $250 is due at time of booking to secure your date and will be applied to total purchase.

What do other clients usually choose for their products?

The most popular Collection purchased is The Knockout and usually with Add-Ons. This collection includes the:

10” x 10” Luxury Custom Album and Matching Couture Leather Bound Box with 35 beautifully retouched images. There's a large variety of cover options to choose from. You can customize your album at your Ordering Session.

However, clients tend to fall in love with all of their images and opt to upgrade to higher collections containing all fully edited images in a Complete Digital File Collection from their session. They also love upgrading by adding more spreads in their albums, adding on additional amazing products such as 16" x 24" Metal Wall Art Prints and larger, bigger Luxury Albums with Matching Couture Boxes, adding Ice Cube acrylic image presentations, and opting for beautiful presentation matted images in a Leather Cover of your choice Folio Box.

Does EPICS include the digital files with the collections?

EPICS has a large variety of diverse product offerings in the collections, including digital files!

For collections with albums, you will receive the digital file accompanying the images you select for your album. The top collection includes all edited digitals from your session.

EPICS also offers Digital Collections if products are not your jam. The Digital Collections are also great if you are needing content both one time and reoccurring.

What days of the week are sessions?

EPICS Experiences primarily take place on Saturdays.

What do about my hair and makeup?

No need to worry about lipsticks or shadow colors or how to style your hair!

Hair and Make-up including faux lashes by a Professional HMU Artist is included as part of your EPICS Experience!

All you have to do it come to your session with a clean face and fresh dry hair and we will take care of the rest! Sit back, relax, and sip your favorite beverage and enjoy a day that you don't have to think about anything while being surrounded by awesome company!

While EPICS style is focused on showing the real you, I do spend time in post-processing to add my artistic touch and to remove minor blemishes, smooth skin, and brighten up things like undereye circles. If you have any particular scars or marks that you wish for me to minimize or completely remove, I am happy to do so. If there are any spots or marks that your prefer to keep, just let me know and I'll take care of it. We will go over that in more detail during our Pre-Session Design Call.

Can EPICS edit out my acne scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, or cellulite?

Do I have to be nude or wear lingerie during my session?

Nope! My style of boudoir is about highlighting your beauty and sensuality and those qualities can be captured in a beautiful dress or cozy off-the-shoulder sweater too! EPICS sessions come with wardrobe guidance and I’m happy to help you explore all your options and narrow down your outfit choices. If you decide at your session that you want to try something more revealing than implied nudity, that is 100% doable.

What if I am very nervous and awkward in front of the camera?

It is completely normal and natural to feel nervous about doing a boudoir session. I feel like I have 3 arms and 4 hands when I get in front of the camera too, lol! You may be a little more anxious especially in the days leading up to your session and on the day of. But I promise once we get started, I will guide you every step of the way. You will quickly relax and starting having fun in no time! No prior modeling experience is needed.

How Can I prepare for session?

The Session Welcome & Prep Guide will walk you through everything you need to know about preparing for your session in every possibly way. We will also go over all of that during your Session Design Consultation (which is separate from the booking consultation call)

EPICS has you covered so that your experience will be even more incredible than you could envision!

In short..., exfoliated fresh skin, clean dry hair, and groomed brows & nails are a must!

Where is the best place to find outfits for my session?

The Session Welcome & Prep Guide has everything you need to know from styling ideas and inspiration for outfits to the best places to shop for outfits. I've already done all the research for you so you don't have to worry about a thing. Just enjoy the ride!

how many outfits should I bring?

Does EPICS offer payment plans?

EPICS sure does! EPICS requires prepayment plans to be set up for all collections with completion 1 week prior to date of session.

This experience should be accessible to everyone at every point in their adult lives (21 and older of course).

I am happy to work out a payment schedule that works best for you. It can be set up weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, or a more custom option.

By the day of your shoot, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy every second of it!

How long does my session last?

EPICS offers a quality, fully customized experience. Depending on the shoot we have planned, we typically will start with greetings, snacks, and refreshments. Followed by hair and makeup for 60 - 90 minutes. Then we will review outfit options and create a game plan together on what will look the best for each set. Then we will begin your session that will usually last 90 - 120 minutes depending on the type of session that is booked.
