You’ll Be So Glad You Didn’t Talk Yourself Out of It
After my recent boudoir session, I kept thinking about how easy it would have been to find a reason to put it off.
Maybe I should wait until I feel more confident. Maybe I should spend the money on something else. Maybe this just isn’t the right time.
If you’ve had those thoughts, I understand. Even as a boudoir photographer, I know that stepping in front of the camera takes courage. You’re making room for yourself in a way that can feel unfamiliar. It can be tempting to wait for a future version of you who feels completely ready.
But I’m so glad I didn’t wait.
This is where I’ll share another portrait from my recent session.

Seeing my images reminded me why I love creating this experience for other women. A photograph can show you something you’ve had trouble seeing in yourself. You might notice your strength in your expression, your beauty in a moment you weren’t trying to be beautiful, or the confidence that was there all along.
And you get to keep that reminder.
That’s why, when someone asks me if a boudoir session is worth the investment, I think about what those images can mean years from now. The experience stays with you, and the portraits give you something to return to on the days when you need to remember who you are. To me, that is worth its weight in gold.
You may leave your session standing a little taller. You may find yourself less willing to shrink in a crowded room or apologize for taking up space. You may start to embrace the parts of yourself you once tried to hide. Every woman’s experience is her own, but I have seen how powerful it can be to look at yourself with fresh eyes.
You deserve that chance now. You don’t need to change your body, reach a milestone, or wait until every nervous thought disappears. You can be excited and scared. You can have doubts and decide to do it anyway.
If a part of you keeps coming back to the idea of a boudoir session, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming about. [Schedule your consultation], and we’ll talk through your questions and create an experience that feels like you.
